We are thrilled to welcome Ben Durham as ML&R’s new Business Development Manager. In his new role, Ben will focus on the firm’s strategic growth efforts. Get to know Ben in the Q&A below!
What is your background?
While I’m originally from Kentucky, I actually started my career right here in Central Texas at Johnson Controls. After stops at ADP and Paylocity, I most recently spent time developing a sales program for an international startup. Since the beginning, my career has centered around cultivating meaningful relationships in the Greater Austin area.
What brought you to ML&R?
Like most folks, I was drawn to ML&R by the firm’s culture and team. It is clear that firm members enjoy working together to serve our clients and to give back to the Central Texas community. I am excited for the opportunity to represent a pillar of the Austin business landscape, to work with our talented clients, and to educate newly relocated businesses about who we are as a firm.
What do you love about Austin?
What is there not to love? Most of all, I love the people. I particularly enjoy working with companies in Austin because our business leaders mirror the innovation, passion, and authenticity that defines our region.
I also love the food. It’s hard to beat beloved local staples like Franklin Barbecue and Matt’s El Rancho. In our free time, my wife and I enjoy going to UT football games and wakesurfing on Lake Travis. Austin has been incredible for us–we can’t imagine living anywhere else!
