What You’ll Be Doing

As a family office associate, you will provide financial services to ultra-high net-worth clients, including financial reporting in QuickBooks, cash flow planning, payroll administration, insurance management, and bill pay. You will also assist our tax group by creating financials from investment statements and preparing 1099s and payroll reports on a quarterly basis. Communication skills are essential to this position, as you will regularly communicate with our clients and their employees.

What We’re Looking For:

    • Minimum 5 years of experience as a full-charge bookkeeper, including financial statement preparation, or working in a family office
    • Extensive experience with QuickBooks (online and desktop versions), including payroll, accounts payable, account reconciliations and journal entries
    • Familiarity with investment statement QuickBooks reporting is highly preferred
    • An understanding of and experience with payroll tax processing and federal and state payroll return preparation (W-2, TWC, 941)
    • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
    • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
    • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to present a professional image both in person and over the phone
    • Excellent written communication skills, including strong spelling and grammar
    • Organizational skills and the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines while working independently
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Ability to handle interruptions and switch from task to task efficiently
    • Experience managing multiple clients with varying needs and requirements
    • Proficiency in adapting to and learning new technologies
    • Experience with federal 1099 tax filings preferred
    • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
